About Us

Nicolo Melissa Antiques specializes in fine European furniture, lighting, decor, and art. Each piece in our gallery is hand selected for their unique quality and high level of craftsmanship. Although we deal in a variety of European works of art, we pride ourselves in being highly specialized in Italian antiques.

Our inventory dates back primarily from 17th through 19th century with a smaller selection in 20th c. design.  Our Manhattan showroom is the first for Nicolo Melissa Antiques, rooting from a reputable family antique business in Northern Italy, founded in the 1970s. Our clients include private collectors, interior designers, architects, and other antique dealers. We are also accommodating to magazines and stores who wish to borrow pieces for editorials, store displays, and of the like.

With extensive contacts, we also offer our clients a special personalized finders service, similar to that of a personal shopper. With this service, we save you time by providing you with updates only for those pieces that may fit your need.  Although not all specifics are easy to come by, we will always do our best to accommodate.  This service works on a commission basis. Our New York showroom is conveniently located in the Upper East Side on 64th Street between 1st and 2nd Avenue. Our store is open to the public, Monday to Friday from 10:30am - 6:30pm. On weekends our gallery is currently open by appointment only. Please note that our hours do vary due to antique shows, fairs, and other appointments. We are however always reachable by phone or e-mail.
