CapoDiMonte porcelain figurine of a Victorian couple, circa 19th century. This piece features a well dressed man giving flowers to a seated seated female figurine. Both figurines are well dressed, highly decorated, in a realistic portrayal with much attention to detail. Piece is in excellent condition, no chips, cracks or breaks.
Marking: Underside has the CapoDiMonte marking (crown and 'N')

History: Capodimonte tradition of making fine porcelains dates back to the 18th century when the Charles of Bourbon (VII of Napoli, V of Sicilia) built his factory in the Royal Woods of Capodimonte near Naples in 1743. Capodimonte is famous for its moulded figurines and decorative modeled flowers applied to cups and vases.
