Antique glass oil lamp, c. early 1800s. Stunning oil lamp features a beautiful glass base painted pink and blue with a hand painted delicate floral arrangement with accents of raised paint and strokes of gold. The burner is made of brass and marked Kosmos Brenner. This distinctive circular burner has a tall narrow chimney with patent 'pinch'. The clear glass flute is marked "Schott & Gen" and features a lovely decorative open hole pattern along the bottom. Marking: Burner is marked "Kosmos Brenner". Glass is marked "Schott & Gen" Dimensions: 6" x 23" tall

Exceptional Italian Murano glass lamp by Ercole Barovier in pulegoso white glass. The pulegoso process traps tiny air bubbles within the glass, giving off a frosty appearance.

Barovier comes from a long standing family line of glassmakers. The family is recorded as working in Venice as early as 1324. Ercole Barovier, son of Benvenuto Barovier became a partner in his families company at age 30. In 1926 he took over its management with brother Nicol and in 1942 the company was renamed Barovier & Toso.
