Antique German sweetmeat dish, c. late 1700s. Beautiful octafoil shaped dish is decorated entirley by gorgeous embossed high relief decor of quanit florals. Sweetmeat dishes were popular during the 17th/18th century Germany, most feature a pair of lobate scroll handles, as does this one.
Markings: Dish is marked with hallmark 'N' for Nuremberg city, '13' for silver purity degree in loth, and with makers mark.
