Elegant Italian sugar bowl, c. 19th century. Simplistic design features deep rounded oval shaped bowl raised upon four clawed feet with gadrooned border accents and a knobbed lid.
Excellent condition, normal wear with age.
Markings: Marked '800' within oval for silver standard, and with the Italian marking systems lozenge - containing the silvermith's number '3', and province initials 'VC' for Vercelli, Italy.
