Lovely Storck & Sinsheimer silver tray, circa 1875-80. This rare and collectible piece is a great example of the fancy s & s Art Nouveau creations that are now highly sought after. This hand made tray features delicate and intricate open-work along its edging with an elegant embossed outdoor scene set within the center. Repousse imagery features a serene landscape with three figurines; a young couple and a musician within a peaceful garden setting.

Markings:  marking of Storck & Sinsheimer, Hanau

Dimensions:  7 1/2 in. length; 4 in. width; 1 1/2 in. tall

Jakob Storck and Louis Sinsheimer are noted as operating in Hanau 1874-1926. They are most popular for their delicate and intricate repousse and open-work seen in trays, bowls, decanters, hand mirrors, and other small objects.
