Victorian Gilt Bronze Six-Light Oil Chandelier

Victorian gilt bronze six-light oil chandelier, circa 1870-80s. Chandelier features a unique weighted pulley system using gilt bronze chains connected to a center weight, allowing for manual height adjustment. Within the center lies a hand painted ceramic bowl, decorated in a floral motif. This bowl was used to hold the oil. Above it there is a beautiful bell shaped glass; hand blown and sandblasted with decorative etching. French or English origin. Great condition, no pieces missing or broken.
