after Antonio Canova (Italian, 1757-1822). A pair of 19th century carved serpentine marble lions. Measures 6 in. tall (15.3 cm). Modeled after the 18th century sculpture by Antonio Canova (1757-1822) in 1792 for the tomb of Pope Clement XIII in St.Peter’s Basilica in Rome.
